This works well but I never use it because I always finish the bottle of wine. If you are not an alcoholic this might be of more use to you. But on the rare occasion I do not finish the bottle, it was easy enough to use. Just read the instructions carefully.
This is a nice product. I have only used it a couple times but it has performed as well as expected or promised. the stainless steel construction of the body makes this pump stand out and shine just a little better then a product of similar quality made out of just plastic. For the price I paid, it was a good purchase.
I was disappointed with quality of this pump-it didn't work. After fiddling with it a while, the material on one of the seals loosened up some and now sometimes works.
I have another one which is slightly bulkier with larger stoppers, but that one works much better. It seems to do the job, but I was not that impressed with the product. It does not take out the air to the extent that I would like it to. It is better than nothing, though. I guess you get what you pay for.
I actually thought I was ordering a wine opener, but it turned out to be a device that takes the air out of the bottle (of wine)so it stays fresh longer. If I had not looked this item up on google, I would still be puzzling about how you get the darned thing to open your wine. No directions or literature comes with it, so you have been warned. Well made and I'm guessing it works very well, but I have not tried it out yet.
